What is hidden in one little peanut?
Up to a certain age, it is more than appropriate to think of the squirrel when hearing about peanut. It has countless other attributes, however, by which it has a prominent place in our diet, too.
Nut is often associated with different sinful treats, which we are sadly compelled to give up, especially in case of a weight loss diet. Then nut must be fattening, right? It is maybe a surprise for dieters that nut is actually an excellent complement of a diet through its high quality and quantity protein, since this protein helps to protect our cells from probable damage.

Peanut contains twice the protein quantity of other kinds of nut, and its mineral content is also surprisingly high: it is rich in zinc, manganese and copper, but peanut is an excellent cleanser of blood as well, due to its high potassium content.
It is also suitable for people suffering from diabetes. As in the seed, protein appears in peanut in a concentrated form, so it should be chewed very well and should be consumed with lots of water, especially in the case of those with a weaker immune system.
Against high blood pressure and cholesterol
Nut influences blood pressure very advantageously, and it also helps to reduce cholesterol levels, because it supplies the body with essential fat. Like oil-seeds in general, nut contains enough fibers and oil to ensure the daily optimal bowel activity, so it is effective against constipation.
