Acacia-honey is a real Hungarian speciality
Out of all kinds of honey produced in Hungary, acacia-honey may be the one most commonly associated with us. It is of especially high quality and much-sought abroad too - a real Hungarian specialty.
Hungarian acacia-honey is phenomenal, but it is no wonder: one fifth of Hungarian forests are acacia forests, more precisely mostly unmixed forests of acacia, where bee keepers can produce clear-type honey effectively.
If there are several kinds of flowers in the "honey pastures", the end result will be mixed honey. This naturally requires unique bee keeping techniques and a special kind of bee too, but acacia-honey is already traditional in Hungary. Hungarian acacia-honey is of especially high quality and much-sought abroad too - a real Hungarian specialty.
For all occasions
The taste of acacia-honey is harmonious not exceedingly dominant which makes it an excellent sweetener and may be consumed in any way. For those just getting to know it and trying to switch from traditional sugar to honey at home, acacia-honey is the ideal choice. It is high in fruit sugar therefore it remains liquid for a long time, even for a year. Its color is light, it may be totally colorless, but may also have a touch of yellow or green, this depends on the given territory the honey came from. Differences in color do not indicate difference in quality.
Healthy sweets
The sterilizing effect of acacia-honey is well-known it can also be used effectively against cough. The acid content of acacia-honey is low, thus it is also recommended in case of digestion problems resulting from hyperacidity. One of the most significant advantages of acacia-honey is that although honey often incites allergy mostly for children, acacia-honey does not, due to its low pollen content, which means it may be recommended even for children prone to allergy.
