All about raspberry
Raspberry (Rubus idaeus) is native also in Hungary, it usually grows on mountains. There are countless kinds of it. Raspberry is one of our favorite fruits in desserts and sweets but its major medical effects are also known.
Raspberry tea is frequently used because of its blood cleansing effect, but it also helps fight swollen lymph nodes on the neck. Similarly to strawberry, it has a light antibiotic effect. Its energy content is relatively low (39 kcal, 122 kJ/100 grams),but it also has vitamins A, B and C in it. Regarding mineral substances, it features an outstanding potassium content.
Since raspberry is a very delicate fruit, you have to be really careful when buying it - if, for example, you buy it on a plate, try to catch a glimpse of the berries at the bottom. It loses quality very fast when fully ripe, and you can only store it in the fridge for a couple of days. The safest thing to do is to store it distributed on a tray instead of a plate. It freezes well, if you have long-term plans.
Raspberry can be prepared in many different ways, but its fields of use are mainly limited to desserts and sweets. As it is not only tasty but also nice it can make excellent decoration to any food. Raspberry is the most delicious when it is eaten fresh - even without any added sweeteners or dairy products.
