Blackberry
Blackberry, bramble, hawthorn, rosehip, cranberry - almost impossible to achieve for someone who lives in a city. However, they are all excellent remedies! Fortunately, they are available in many forms at the stores, so there is nothing to prevent you from enjoying them even daily.
Blackberry was already well-known and popular at the dawn of human history, for example in ancient times, they cultivated it not only for the berries, but also because of its leaves that were thought to be curative.
It contains vitamin C and A in an outstanding proportion, also different trace elements, calcium, iron, manganese and phosphorus. Several clinical tests have verified that the ellagic acid and phenol in blackberry reduce the chance of the development of cancer-like diseases. Blackberry can also be an effective remedy for diarrhea and iron-deficiency anemia.
Pick it yourself!

Although you can get blackberry in retail stores, it is worth reaping some yourself when on an excursion, since blackberry in its natural habitat is more sour and smaller, but its manganese content may be up to the tenfold of the bigger and sweeter blackberry grown at plantations.
Good blackberry is fresh blackberry
Storing blackberry is an especially delicate issue, for blackberry can hardly bear that: freshly picked berries can lose some of their flavor and aroma even by the next day, so it is advisable to wash it before use and also to use it as soon as possible. Similarly to raspberry, blackberry can be frozen excellently. Its can be used in multiple ways and it is often combined with strawberry and raspberry because of its intensive and sour taste, for instance, in jams. However, it makes also an excellent jam and syrup by itself but it retains its unique flavor also in desserts.
