The contest
It happened on a splendid morning that Scarlet announced with great joy the news according to which a contest by the name of 'Who is the best?' was going to be held in the royal court. Not a single inhabitant of Cerbengócia failed to enter for it.
'Let the contest begin,' yelled Kocian.
The first task to compete in was sack running and the second one was rope pulling. Everyone could hold on during these two activities. But the most exciting challenge proved to be the most exciting one for the townsfolk. In this activity the winner was the one who first managed to eat up three bowls of Cerbona cereals. Unfortunately, Tiny dozed off while eating, which the others could hardly believe! It seemed for a moment that the winner of the contest was going to be Splash, the vicious gnome, but then suddenly, Cerbi polished off everything and so eventually he became the winner. Serena then sang the favorite song of Cerbengócia's best, so the contest changed over into a big amusement.
