The cereal-eating competition

It happed one day that Hocus proclaimed a cereal-eating competition. 'The one that is able to devour the biggest amount of cereals is going to be taught a spell by me,' said the rules. There were many contestants applying for it, such a tempting offer is extremely hard to resist. Kocian entered for it as well, though he was afraid that he would disappoint Serena by getting defeated. That is why he begged the others that they let him win the competition. Naturally, he got laughed at by the others. 'That would be cheating,' said them all. Kocian figured out that they were right and that he had to win in an honest way. Therefore when the day of the competition arrived, he got up early and did even more exercises than usual so that he could recuperate even more strength. He had to gorge an enormous amount of cereals, and he felt that even though it would be delicious, this task at hand was out of his league and that he was not capable of doing it. But then Serena stepped at him and her words encouraged him, so eventually he indeed managed to be triumphant. Although he was even taught a spell, in fact, he appreciated Serena's help more, and he even received a kiss from her.
