Cerbi and the ice-cream
One morning Cerbi woke up to realize that no sound whatsoever was coming out of his throat. His heart sank completely because never before had such a thing happened to him. He ran to Hocus and his first thought was that his voice had been bewitched. Hocus was turning over his enormous magic book intensely when Cerbi broke in on him. He was stunned to see his friend waving around and pointing at his mouth and throat. He first threw a big warm coat on his shoulders suspecting that he might be cold. But Cerbi did not fancy this idea.
Then yesterday afternoon came into Hocus's mind. During the great summer dog days Serena, Hocus and Cerbi went for a stroll to count the fountains of Cerbengócia. As they walked they grew thirstier and thirstier and bumped into Splash at one of the corners who was dragging a pretty red ice-cream cart. Since they all were sweltering they decided on having a scoop of ice-cream each. Unfortunately, Cerbi was voracious and had two scoops of ice-cream. Hocus figured out that this was the reason for Cerbi's sore throat. He felt for his friend very much but he had no spell to cure it.
He asked for Serena's help to find the cure for Cerbi's sore throat. As soon as Serena had taken a look at her friend's tortured face she was sure that he was in pain.
She put him to bed, tucked him in and gave him some delicious chamomile tea with honey. She nursed him for a whole day and by the evening he got better. Even his voice came back and his first sentence was „I'm hungry!”. Hocus brought him some milk and Cerbi had some delicious muesli with fruits for dinner.
His two friends made him promise that from now on he would not overdo eating ice-cream. Cerbi smiled but he seemed worn out after being sick for a whole day.
Hocus and Serena looked at each other over the patient's head and they both acknowledged with a vague smile that it had been a good lesson for Cerbi.
